MAYBELLINE COLORSENSATIONAL LIP GRADATION PINK 2

That Maybelline has just launched a ton of ranges in India is no secret! You have to be living under a rock to not know it yet! They launched the Fit Me range, the Super stay nail varnishes and what I got most excited about - Lip Gradations (Known as Color Blurs abroad).
I just got one to try. I got one in Pink 2.

The Lip Gradation pencils are dual sided. it has a nib for precise application (much thicker than a lip liner though). The other side (that you twist up for the nib to "rise" )is a sponge tip applicator that made no sense to me initially, till I realised it was for the "Korean Lip Trend" of the 'just bitten'/ ombre lips. power packed in the centre and faded outwards. Did I explain it well? Did I?

I know I pick out similar colours. It's like right after I got married, I had mainly pink sarees. And below is proof that this colour is VERY similar to MAC's All Fired Up. If anything, this is just a little more pink as the name suggests! lol

Colour It's a deep raspberry pink. It's a stunning colour for all year round and is sure to suit all skintones. It is PACKED with pigment and goes completely opaque in 1 swipe.
Texture The texture is quite similar to the Revlon matte balms or the MAC Matte lipsticks. This particular one though I find is nice and smooth to apply. It doesn't tug while application, it's very smooth, but can get drying after a couple of hours of wear.
The wear time is very impressive. It stays on even after a proper meal! The stain isn't patchy. It's nice and even and looks fresh after hours. I easily get 3 -5 hours of wear out of this.

Excuse the no makeup pouty face + shabby hair! :)

Trying the Korean way of application in the picture above. Taken under white light, so the colour is altered.
All in all, I absolutely LOVE this pencil. There's nothing bad about it except the quantity. Too little for the price. It's almost the cost of a MAC Lipstick if you take the quantity : Price ratio into consideration.

Price - Rs 500

  1. This color looks fab on you... Is it worth getting, as in the pencils. I was thinking of a peachy shade.
