You know Nancy was a comic strip that once came in the Times Of India.
Okay anyway the point it, I love this month.. just cause its my birthday month.. Summer in India is HOT. Like really hot. thankfully Hyderabad is not humid. But its very easy to get roasted here.
So what does one do to make the season that dominates the year more bearable? You know add colour and stuff.. to your wardrobe to your face. I am absolutely loving dressing up in neutrals like whites, off whites, beiges with a pop of colour on my mouth! :P
I think I'll do a post on my makeup routine soon. Oh so getting back to topic, Coral lips have been in since I can remember. There are loads to colours to choose from lots of looks to get.
I'm posting pictures of a few coral, orange lip colours from MAC. sometime back I decided I wanted some corals, but I dint find swatches of certain colours side y side. So hope this helps.

I dont know all the finishes. But few, I know- See Sheer (Lustre), Crosswires (cremesheen), Vegas Volt (Cremesheen), Neon Orange is from the Stylishly Yours Collection (I dont know the finish. :P), Morange (Amplified), Lady Red (Matte) This is definitely more red., So Chaud (Matte) Exxxhibitionist (Kissable Lipcolour).
I forgot to include the Exxxhibitionist Kissable Lip Colour from the Peacocky Collectionhave. When I finally did and 1got one hurried picture (read horrid). I think I'll include that too :P

ReplyDeleteI love the muted corals for the day time and the loud in your face ones at night. Vegas Volt is as bright as I can dare to wear.
I tried Neon orange but I i knew I couldn't wear it comfortably. Though I would love to own it! Exxxhibitionist is brilliant! :D
But See Sheer is a universal favourite. Anybody can wear it. Also Crosswires. Bah I mentioned everything no? :P
but I would blindly suggest See Sheer and/or crosswires. do give them a try! :)

Also, try Shoppers Stop for Maybelline Verde Palmeira. I've found them to be the best stocked shop for maybelline nail colours.

About Peach vs Coral... I hope you'll understand my description of what I think is what:P
Peach is subtle.. ( the colour of the fruit..a very mild washed out orange+beige.
Coral on the other hand is more pink+ orange. this can be in different hues and shades. Like the colour of the sky sometimes?
