Its been forever since I've been using this lotion and its high time I reviewed it. So here goes-
My first reaction to this was lacto calamine packed in a pump bottle. But I couldn't have been wrong.
(Don't take it wrongly, I love my calamine but it totally dries me out. (I haven't used the dry skin version though)).
The lotion claims to-
- lock in essential moisture.
- work as a defense system for the skin against the harmful effects of sun, wind, UV radiation and heat.
- Helps heal minor rashes and sunburns.
- Shields skin from invading elements while keeping it protected and moisturized.
- Free from artificial fragrance and colour.
- With natural UV protectors,SPF 15.
- Potent organic formulation.
- For normal to oily skin.
Active ingredients- rose, chamomile, aloe vera and wheat extracts.
It has a long list of ingredients as well. Not just getting away with the "active ingredients". Very good, Lotus. I like. :)
Price Rs 225 for 100 ml of the product.
This is what I have to say after using it for around 20 days as my only moisturizer, twice/ thrice a day-
- I thought it would dry my skin out since I am pretty dry- normal skinned. Good news, It didn't. :D i use 2 pumps for my face and neck.. 1 pump is enough usually, but I go over it cause just a pump would leave me with the stretchy feeling.. for my friend though, who is oily skinned, one pump was more than enough.
- Initially, the pump was so tight, the product would squirt out in a very dirty way!:P now, I'm getting used to it... or maybe its getting used to me!
- I wish this came with a cap. It has an exposed pump. I have a closed storage space, But most people store such things on dressing tables/ bed side tables and this would attract dust!
- This is has a pretty naturally relaxing fragrance, I like it.\
- This has a tint to it.. you know the one that fooled me to believe it is lacto calamine.
- Very recently, I have experienced a bout of issues on my face because of certain very intelligent choices I made, This dint irritate it more, but this also didn't increase the pace of recovery.
- It has SPF 15 in it!!! I know its a sin, but I actually forget to use sunscreen a lot! and this helps!
- All in a all a great moisturizer. The packaging could be tweaked a little to make it just perfect.
- Doesnt make unnatural claims and lives up to most of its own.
Product was sent by the company for review.
Thats all. :P oh and I am really sorry for abandoning my blog all these days. I promise I will post more often now. No more excuses. ReplyDeleteMy mum has good skin. So I just briefly took one of her SKII (http://www.geocities.jp/hongkong_skii/index_e.htm) to use, which I assume is a moisturizer. It's good man I tell you! She gave me a small bottle of eye cream before but the effects weren't that great and I stopped using. But my mum's moisturizer is good! I can feel it reacting once I applied it
