No? See, my blog is educational. Ok, so I just Googled random trivia and found the first decent thing to say because I'm honestly running out of great start up lines.


Anyway, who cares about start up lines when we have the most gorgeous pink lipstick to talk about!
I'd been looking for a pretty pale pink as an everyday lipstick. And I kept thinking Maybelline 14 Hr Lipstick in Perpetual Peony because I hadn't seen it in reality yet. But I had enough of the formula and probably the only colour I'd still buy is eternal rose or something. Coming back to Thrilling pink, or no wait actually. PP looked crap on me. I went to the colorbar counter and randomly looked for lipsticks. I'd given up hope on finding the colour in drugstore brands. I still want MAC Mehr but it was sold out at the MAC in Inorbit and I'm in no mood to go to banjara hills now. Yes, I'm a grumpy old woman!
Arrgh I digress! So I spotted this. Thought it'd wash me out. Looked anyway, thinking I have an obsession with things that cant be mine. But noo! It pays to be nosy! It wasn't intimidating in the tube. Actually.. wait..Let's try it! Asked the SA to sanitize it. She wiped it on her arm! I snatched it! Gimme! Pulled sanitized tissues out and wiped it thoroughly. Then squirted some sanitizer on it. Yes, it made that disgusting noise too and everyone looked. SA gave me the stink eye. I ignored and applied. Oooh pretty!

"Do you have this?"
"Yes ma'am!" I literally snatched it off and ran to pay for it before anybody took it away from me and was all sneaky till I got it home, ripped it's packaging off, and applied it! MINE!
Ooh it actually looks like a dupe of a pretty MAC lipstick!!
Went online to get a couple more. Better sense prevailed and I dint. But I might get just one more. Don't look at me like that ok!

Wow! What made me say I din't have anything to talk about! Eh I was just trying to be cool I guess.

Colour, Longevity & Texture - A gorgeous yellow pink that would suit light to medium skintones beautifully. On NC 43 skintones, it might look like a nude pink. Under some lights, it looked pale pink on me and I was reminded of MAC Mehr, but then it's a lot yellow and brighter than that. Like a lot of these Velvet Matte lipsticks, it stains lips a darker pink and after an hour or 2 on lips, the colour starts getting darker and brighter! (who knew those words would be used together ever!)
So this also means that the colour is a lot more wearable than it would be if it remained pale.
These are creamy mattes, not exactly transfer proof, but resistant (especially after an hours time) Not drying at first, but do get drying after sometime.
The colour doesn't change when a gloss is used on top of these. I wore MAC Ample Pink Plushglass with this all day today and it lasted a good 5 hours+ on me before I removed it! The bright pink stain stays on forever is a pain to remove.

In 1 swipe you get full blown colour. 2 makes it completely opaque. But more than that, it gets super heavy on lips in sometime.

FOTD on a very tired after work face, under different lightings. And honestly the lipstick is quite worn out here! I think I'll update this space. Updated!
It's so difficult to capture the true colour of this lipstick! It's really warm in my swatches. And it keeps getting warmer! Gah! I was so tired of everyone saying it's coral! Hence proved. It is not coral. It's a pink with strong yellow tones! So I'm putting up more!

This is a beautiful pink that would suit light to medium complexions most. It might wash out anybody darker than NC 44. So try it if you don't mind the staining/ Colour changing bit.
