I really feel that my vocabulary is very limited, you know. Like everything we wear on our feet, other than socks and slippers, I call shoes. Only when I have to reallllly describe them to someone who's getting them for me, I make an effort to use words like heels/ballets/ stilettos/pumps etc. Otherwise, bring me those blue shoes, bro! Same way, I just cant for the life of me do the whole sorbet, fro yo, frozen custard, gelato things. It's all icecream to me, ya! It all tastes like icecream to me too.
So now that that's been established, You know those swirly icecreams? That's exactly what this swirly Olay Cream + Serum duo reminds me of! Just see this picture, isn't that what it reminds you of too?
Honestly, even though the title of the post says that this is a review, I'd like to clarify here that it's more like my initial impression of the product. Because got to know today that I was supposed to review this within this given period of time. Just in case my views on this change/ I need to add something after I use the entire bottle, I will do than and repost it.
Now, the Olay cream in a pump bottle is no stranger to anyone of us here. But this one comes with these swirls of concentrated serum which (I'm assuming) makes it a better version of that!
Just 1 thing about the packaging, I love it. It's super travel friendly and hygienic.
I don't really have fine lines on my face yet, so that's a claim I'm yet to test. I've been using it as my day cream where I use 1 pump of it to cover my face and neck. It moisturises my dry- normal skin really well. It's sufficiently light and gets absorbed into my skin really quick without leaving any greasiness behind. I feel the need to moisturise by around 4 o' clock in the evening again after doing it in the morning. I feel it does plump my skin and it feels quite smooth after application. This one time I wore it before bed and I felt that it wouldn't be nourishing/ moisturising enough for the night but that is when I woke up to really radiant skin. I have large pores on the left side of my face and slightly smaller ones on the right side of my face (and all this was before I even read the outer carton) I felt that it really minimised the pores on the right side of my face. My face looked very smooth and radiant. But this drastic effect I din't feel on regular day time use. It obviously worked better when I slept/ rested.
It has spf 15 in it and that's good. Though I would still recommend you use sunscreen along with it.
I think when it comes out if the bottle, the serum gets mixed with the cream because I din't yet get any serum out.
Price Rs 369 for 20 grams
Even though my skin is in dire need of a good scrubbing/clean up, I still feel that this cream made my skin really smooth and plump (especially when used at night), other than moisturising it properly. Din't break me out and the extra spf 15 is well, that's just a bonus.
