MaxFactor Rosewood Lipstick- Review & Swatches

I'm told that I'm 'slightly' commitment phobic. Even though I don't think that's true at all, some things I've done in the past prove me err wrong. I'll give you an example. See, thing is, when I like something, enough to get used to it, I might or might not freak out just a tiny bit. What if
they discontinue the show I'm addicted to? Or the lipstick shade I love? I wont be able to handle it and so I just back out/ withdraw, (again) just a tiny little bit! So when I was falling in love with something annoyingly stupidly pansy like Pretty Little Liars, something I was sure I wouldn't fall in love with (I honestly started for the makeup and clothes) I stopped watching it. Ok, at one point it got a little too annoying, ok!
Anyway, point is, I started watching it again recently and obviously I'm up to date. Had a marathon and caught up! And it reminded me of this lipstick I had stashed away in a bag, because it's my 'perfect for every occasion' lipstick.
It's the kind of colour that Emily (Shay Mitchell) or even Aria (Lucy Hale) wear quite a bit, and because it's called Rosewood. Like the town?

stole this got this lipstick from my mum long back and it has stayed in my bag always. Last year, it lived in my swimming bag too. I was in love with it and realized I was getting to used to it and I couldn't find it at the store anymore so I stopped using it as much. Only now, after some sleuthing, I found out that MaxFactor sells this shade in a prettier pack and slightly more expensive as the MaxFactor Color Elixer Lipstick! I've only seen it online and not compared the swatches myself. But I'm hoping it's the same. Because you see the stub in the picture? Yeah, it's shorter in reality now!

Colour: It's the most gorgeous brown pink colour ever! The color is warm and would suit most fair to medium dark complexions in my opinion. It might wash out anybody darker than say NC 45. One coat, and it's my lips but better. 2 coats and it covers my pigmented lips completely. It leaves an almost coral tint behind (which is quite strange!). It's one of those fuss free lipsticks. That work well on their own and can be played up with heavy eyes/ blush too. You can see how it compares to MAC Cosmo here. Funny story here- The very amateur makeup knowledge holder (I) thought they were dupes. And I realized later that they weren't. But before I could change that on my blog, I saw a huge number of people suggesting it as a dupe for MAC Cosmo online! It was an Oops rofl moment. But then again, I'm sure it was their own idea! You can see a review and swatches of the MAC lipstick here.

Formula wise, it's very light weight  Not highly moisturizing or anything,  but sits quite comfortably on my lips for around 2-3 hours before it dries to a tint. It has a typical lipstick smell that doesn't bother me at all. But please keep in mind that the formula I'm talking about is an old one. The new one might differ.
*The swatch photos have been taken under different lighting conditions. The finish of this lipstick is like the MAC Creemesheens. Not in terms of moisturization and stickiness, but the way it looks. Doesn't settle in the lines and looks effortlessly fabulous.

Price- Somewhere around Rs 500 then. The new ones are priced at Rs 670.
