Website Review : Jabong.com

So, now that you know I'm married to an army officer and we get posted to well.. some of the most precious yet (excuse my lack of vocabulary) godforsaken places! Now, at places like such, you can't really expect them to open you a health and glow! Yes, Hyd, I miss you much, much!! I mean, I am loving it here! I'm an army brat after all. I've lived in places like Harchura so Bareilly is no biggie! But then again, I was in 2nd standard back then with no interest in makeup, so. And while I do own enough makeup to last me a lifetime, how can I not want to try the new stuff in the market out? So when I failed to find the L'Oreal Shine caresse gloss stains that everyone and their dogs were raving about, I decided to resort to shopping online! Actually, with 1 Pantaloons, 1 Westside in Bareilly, with a lot of stuff unavailable, Online shopping seems to be my only option! Unless we talk about the out of this world gorgeous embroidered sarees and suits here! Brilliant craftsmanship!! I am in LOVE with Parsi work!! (Yea, so a wedding din't make me obsessed, but this army wife life with extra exposure to such stuff taught me to tell Parsi work from Chickan!!)

Actually, in a brand new city, with no idea about what is where except the half knowledge of my own address, and zero time to spare, what other choice did I have?! And at that point, Jabong was the only lifestyle shopping website that stocked these (of whatever I searched)! I'm not really new to shopping online, I have shopped online extensively during my wedding. Got a lot of dresses and footwear and perfumes (the ones I had already sniffed at the store) at huge discounts for the honeymoon and even during my Goa bachelorette! I have especially been a fan of Jabong.com for  my stuff would reach me within 2 days back in Hyd. But then again, that's a city and most things reach quick there. while I placed the order, I was almost taking a chance because I was leaving for Lucknow in like 2-3 days. (I din't know this back then! :/)

I got to know the day before that we were leaving for Lucknow the very next day for a week- 10 days (This was on 30th April and I am still at Lucknow, btw!) I really thought I would get to see my new lovelies after 10 days but I was pleasantly surprised that the package reached me the very day. In fact, I collected my package on the way to the station! Now I'd really like to specially mention the Javas staff that these guys at Jabong use! These guys are really great. You tell them that you want it delivered at a certain time, if there wont be anybody at home to collect the package, and they oblige! This guy waited for me near a theatre near the cantt, on my way to the station for me to collect my parcel from him!

Anyway, these are the Shine Caresse glosses I got from Jabong, they came packaged really nicely, in individual packets with their respective details on, and properly bubble wrapped together; with a "fragile" sticker on the main (outer) package.

In the past, I have picked out a ton of dresses/ tops and skirts from brands like Vero Moda, AND and Famella to name a few on discounts! That, plus  they usually have discount codes like extra 25% off on order over Rs 1999 kinds, So that's an added bonus! Also, I am big on perfumes. And during my wedding, while I did try out a couple of perfumes at the store, that left me confused so I came back home with nothing.  I obviously dint get any sleep that night. So I ordered the already sniffed (at Shopper's Stop) perfumes from Jabong (that were already discounted + the extra 25 - 35 % off!! That beats getting teeny tiny free samples any day!
Other than makeup/ perfumes and apparel/ footwear, They have a home decor section which is of new interest to me now, as are the accessories!

The exchange and returns policy at Jabong is quite flexible too. Not only is the site quite convenient to navigate through, their customer service is actually helpful too. I mean they are supposed to be, but in today's time, even that is super! lol

They have free shipping which is superb. They accept credit cards/ debit cards/ net banking and COD. COD has some extra charges around Rs 40, so that's not what I usually use as a mode of payment. Since this is quite a reliable website I much rather use the Debit/ Credit cards.

I have shopped from Jabong a minimum of 7 times this very year, mostly in the month of Feb when I got married and wasn't allowed to leave home after 6th (my Haldi)/ late at night after the tiring trials/meetings with photographers/ caterers etc!!
