Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick 22 - Review, FOTD

Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick 22
I'm sorry for being AWOL for so long. I was unwell. Really, really, really unwell among other things. But I needed normal in life, and needed to blog. Oh wait, while I was sick and all, I shopped more. I'm going to do a May haul post as soon as I get some things home.
There's this sleek package that hasn't reached me (I placed an order on May 3rd!), and there's a stuff on it's way, but I won't wait for the sleek one to do it.
Plus my haul will have a lot of things I've already shown/ reviewed here, like this lipstick (it's a collective May haul)
Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick 22 FOTD
I know I look like crap there, but honestly, I cant do better than that right now!
Lets just focus on the lipstick now, okie?
The minute I opened and saw the lipstick bullet, my first reaction was to run online and look if they have more, so I could buy a backup. They did, I bought.
Colour- It's the most beautiful, bright red I've seen in a long time, and I've been seeing a lot of reds this month!
It does have a little pink in there, somewhere, that my camera failed to capture.
Texture wise, it's slightly heavy, you will know that you have it on the whole time, it doesn't drag while applying, it's smooth and creamy that way. Gets matte-r and drier with time.
Lasts a good 5 hours on me without eating big spoonfuls of dal chawal achar. Or even messy fruits like watermelon and mangoes. Lychees and popcorn are a different matter now! (You know what I've been eating all these days now, don't you? Oh and truck loads of pizza too, no wonder I've been sick!
The one thing that I'd like to mention here is that it has a strange almost sweet smell. A strong one at that. It doesn't really bother me, but sensitive noses might not like it much.

Price- Rs 215 (Which is probably the second best part about this lipstick, the first being the stunning red colour)
Available at Slassy. com here.
I've already repurchased this twice. I've given 1 to a friend.

    1. How can you look so pretty and your skin so flawless when you have been ill?? Hope you're feeling fine now...actually shopping is far better than any medicines...lol.

My skin these days has become so terrible, I look unwell tho I'm not :(

    2. No noo I look really bad. It's just concealer I've used to cover up my purple under eye circles! You're right! Online shopping is such a boon! I'm sure you're exaggerating! But thank you Dollie! :* How have you been?

    3. I love online shopping but only for things like books or maybe some accessories. For colour cosmetics, I need to see the colour, feel the texture before I buy.
I'm enjoying getting up late in the morning..few days more before schools start and then its back to run, Dollie, run!,!!

  6. Hi Ikya, my name is Tani and I am your new subscriber. I read your DIY tinted lip balm article in Cosmo and loved it. And since you are from Hyderabad, like me, I knew I had to subscribe to your blog. Needless to say , I love your reviews and everything else. I recently bought Rimmel long lasting lipstick in shade 170-Alarm. It is a straight up Red(no pink or blue undertones) but not in your face Red, which I like. You should give it a try.

P.S. I am posting this comment as Anonymous as my office has blocked other options.bummer.

    1. Hii Tani! Woohoo! It's so great that finally I see someone who I din't know personally read that article in Cosmo! Thank you, thank you so much for subscribing and leaving this comment! Ooh I have alarm. It's really subtle and nice like you rightly put it! I'm planning to do a comparison post with all the reds I have. Just in case you're going through a red phase like me, you might like what you see! :)
