How To : Perfect 2 Minute Eyebrows

One of my best friends who stays in Haifa is in town and we were to meet for lunch today with Mitali (you hear about her all the time!). Now, isn't it the most normal thing in the world to call someone when you leave home (to pick that person up) so that person has time to get ready?
Ya, apparently people don't do that anymore, because only after I called him, did he say "Oh I'll be outside your house in 5 minutes!" I was like whhhaaa! I had practised so much, decided to wear makeup and look the beauty blogger part he knows me to be now but the boy gave me 5 minutes! He showed up in 10 minutes, but that's still much better than what normal Hyderabadis take when they say 5 minutes!

So I did what anyone would do when pressed for time to look decent! I quickly filled in my brows, wore a bright pink lipstick and then, because I had time, lined my eyes!

You've all heard a million times how your eyebrows frame your face and that a little bit of  taming and filling in the eyebrows makes a huge difference to your overall appearance! But is just getting the monthly threading done enough? I dint bother filling in my eyebrows until very recently because everytime I tried before, I was worried I looked like a drag queen! But since I figured this way out of doing it, my FOTDs (in pictures especially, where bald patches really get highlighted) look so much better! Obviously, with just my eyebrows done and some lipgloss, I feel that my face is done!
This to all Indians especially, is going to come really easily (I hope!) and once you get the hang of it, I promise you'll be hooked! Especially if you have scanty eyebrows like mine!

Step 1- Take a veryyyyy tiny amount of the maybelline gel eyeliner on tip of its stiff brush and get excess off on either a tissue or the back of my other hand (I do that so I can use that amount again because that's all you actually need for both your eyebrows!)
Step 2- Starting from the inner lower part (the dark blue arrow in the picture below) I draw a very faint line joining the part where my hair starts to grow properly. Because I get my eyebrows threaded like most other Indian women, the lower part of our eyebrows is usually in a clean, distinct shape. (That also could be because I can't use tweezers without pulling every single strand of my eyebrow hair and still keep it uneven!)
Step 3- I follow the direction of hair growth and taking reference of the previously drawn line (from step 2), I draw tiny strokes with a very light hand keeping it darkest at the bottom and very light on the top.

Then I go over any bald patch inside. Remember not to get out of your natural eyebrows. Keep it really light, use a very light hand and draw lines from the bottom to top (it gets lightest at the top this way) and all that will ensure you don't look like a drag queen!
You could use a clear mascara/ brow gel to keep your brows in place, but you can evidently tell I dint/ don't do that. I like doing super fast, easy things with products that multi-task to get the desired result! This gel liner doesn't smudge/ bleed/ transfer and stays put untill I get it off with makeup remover!
I have 2 Maybelline gel eyeliner Brushes and I use the old one (that's stiffer for my eyebrows) and the new one that's really soft and bendy as my eyeliner brush!
This isn't the perfect/ totally correct way to do it, but it works for me! If you want to groom your eyebrows with everyday products that already sit in your makeup bag, in about 2 minutes without looking like a drag queen., this is for you!
