One Red Lipstick, Four Versions

              

Let's face it. At every given time, there are a bunch of girls who are afraid of wearing red lipstick. Especially in India. I mean, it's definitely getting better, but there was a time people said 'Ooh so bright' when I wore MAC Crosswires [last year]! So it took me a while, but I finally got a red lipstick- MAC Ruby Woo and it took me an year to start wearing it outside! (Not proud, don't look at me like that!) But the good news is that I've found ways to wear a red lip. Other than a.. err.. a normal red lip, primarily using One Red Lipstick. Trust me, these are comparivuely easier to wear and ease you into wearing a red lip, also, my brother doesn't goo "ewww" when he sees some of these, so apparently it's socially acceptable too! And the best part is that at the end of the day, you are wearing a red lip! Please note, this is definitely not a post on how I tone down bright colours. Know the Blogger- 7 Things

I've been reading lots of blogs of late.. and I realized its actually quite fun to know the blogger.. You know random likes ans dislikes and weekly love kinds. Its actually fun..

So I decided to do something like this on a weekly basis.. Say every Saturday.. and list out 3 favourite things of all times, 3 things I'm loving this week and 1 thing I hated about this week..  Or something like that. A fellow blogger, Nicola of A Life of a Beauty Addict (go check hers out too, shes fab!) and me we eventually decided to do this every Saturday.

So its my Saturday now and here is what I have to say-

       This obviously goes to my family and then my friends.. I mean obviously this is how I'm going to start! Don't tskk me.. This is how even you would start!

Vampire Diaries. I watched 2 seasons nonstop in like a week. I love Vampire Diaries. And of I love Stefan! :D I love Damons character.. but I love Stefan. He is hot!

90210 the season 3 finale!

Ivy marries Raj. he comes on an elephant. and oh when hes trying to reason with his parents, he goes something like this- " mata, peeta (mother, father, BTW its pita.):P Ivy and I love each other."

I was rolling on the floor laughing!:P

Oh this one is good too. I got to sleep in till 1 pm today. :D I had a 13 hour sleep.

MAC Vegas Volt Lipstick, Review Swatches and FOTD

The post on coral lips yesterday did generate a good response. I  decided to review the Vegas Volt Lipstick hence! Oh and this is a picture heavy post. [teeheee I got carried away] :P

This is a bright coral lipstick that demands attention. It is summery, bright yet very flattering. I was skeptical initially cause I'm not someone who experiments much. I stay away from nudes and super bright lipsticks. So this was pretty big for me. I wear it strictly at night.
Oh but you can easily wear it in the day time if you use it as a stain..(with your fingers) or even wear it with gloss.

Its an Amplified lipstick and the MAC website describes it as a Full Power Coral.

For reference, I am a NC 40 in MAC, I own the NC 42 Mineralize SPF 15 Foundation though. Review here.
I dont know what it is about winters that make me dark! Its so weird. Its generally the other way round for people. And since I dont bother wearing foundations in summer, (Actually I hardly ever do) I dint bother getting a lighter one. :D
