MAC Ruby Woo: Review, Swatches, FOTD

I really like these retro looking pictures with rounded corners to an extent that I use them all the time, almost everywhere and I have to stop myself from doing this a lot of times! But I took the liberty to do it here as much as I wanted to. (It's another thing that most of those pictures aren't being used now! Sigh!) Oh and I digress. I did it becauseee (well ya, other than the fact that I'm crazy) the product in question here is a 'Retro Matte' lipstick from MAC called Ruby Woo.

Wearing Bights

How was your Sunday? Mine was nice and quiet almost till the end. Then it got un-quiet. I met my friends Akshat and Mitali and we just drove around, looked for alcohol  ice cream. Was it a bandh?! There was like no shop open! Then we just settled for ice cream. Thank you McDonald's! (We were looking for other ice cream, okay!)

THE CAT IS OUT OF THE BAG!

Yesterday I asked you all to guess what was wearing in the FOTD, remember? Well heres the scoop.


I started off with obsessing over Aria Montgomery's (Lucy Hale's) makeup in Pretty Little Liars. I like the subtle smokey eyes, the strong eyebrows and a berry lip she dons!
I've been trying to do something like that for sometime now! But it always looks odd because I have very scanty eyebrows otherwise:P
Plus my hair is VERY straight. I tried curling it and it fell flat in 5 minutes! :/
This was the third time I tried this look and I still think it is nowhere similar. This is my version of it. I'm definitely more comfortable this way and I'll go all out next time and try to do this exactly!

Ugghhh i just watched the new episode of PLL... What did I do?!!! I have half a mind to delete this but I'll just put it up anyway! OK No jokes at my expense!:P Please!!!

So the blush is MAC Melba (With a teeeny tiny help from MAC Frankly Scarlet)

Lipsticks were MAC Cosmo + MAC Brick-O-La (mixed them together)

& The eyeshadows were totally wild! I don't own any proper eyehadow. So this was all created/mismatched. :P
I dusted my eyelids with MAC MSF Natural after priming them with MAC Rubenesque Paintpot (Click for Review)
I used the darkest brown from the Maybelline Chai Latte Quad in the outer corner and brought it i the crease.
Clinique Mascara
Tight-lined with Revlon Kohl & Dust the same dark brown on the lower lash line. In the inner corners I used the highlight shade from the Chai Latte quad.
Filled in my brows with the dark brown.

Its a beautiful evening, isn't it? I feel like a game! I spent the day trying to do a look which doesn't look like the original  AT ALL! LOL But this is my blog and I will go right ahead and show you the FOTD, tomorrow:P

Nawww I'm not teasing.. I just need sometime to post that, plus since I spent the whole day doing this, I did no work which I have to go finish now!

So I leave you with the FOTD. You need to guess what I did (You'll know this if you follow me on twitter:P)and guess the products (names) that you see below! :D I know its practically impossible to guess this because its all in B&W. But its a game, all in good fun! Go ahead and tell me!

And yes, still in love with my black beauty. Took a million pictures. Will show you all! ha ha. Joke.

PS: Don't fatten your hopes, the coloured version sucks! :P I was supposed to be born in 1889. Just got delayed by a millenium! & If you cant guess it, I wouldn't mind if you go ahead and tell me I've done a good job! :P

How does it fare? MAC FANFARE LIPSTICK- Review, Swatches & Photographs

You know the kind of love stories that are passionate but short-lived?

My affair with Fanfare is sort of like that! But I wont let it be just yet!.. muha ha ha ha ha ha! *evil*

If you followed me on Twitter, you would know how I ranted about my Fanfare melting! & I barely ever got to use it before it melted! :'(  But I have seen most Fanfares melt! My cousins, the one in the store & a friends mums! :P

Like everything stays! Fanfare melts! :( But thanks to a lot of 'how to save it' videos and articles, I salvaged it somehow, It is still delicate and have lost a LOT of product that way. I wont do it again. No, no. :(

Price- Rs 990

Colour &Texture wise, Fanfare is mid toned pink, Described as Mid-toned yellow pink on the MAC website. It has a little peach somewhere. And is a beautiful, beautiful colour that adds a pretty wash of pink to my face.

In my opinion, it would work best with skin tones upto NC 43/44.

It is a fairly opaque lipstick like most creemsheens are. I love the creemsheen formula next to the amplified finishes from MAC. 

It is a very moisturizing lipstick and had a natural shine to it. I don't ever wear a gloss on top of it.

Lasting time- It lasts for some 3 hours on my lips after which, It leaves a tint behind. It doesn't dry my lips out at all still. Nothing, Read NOTHING lasts on me beyond 3 hours on my lips.

All in all, It is a beautiful lipstick that I am repurchasing as soon as I have money to spare since it is a very happy sunny pink lipstick that doesn't make one look like someone vying barbie's crown!

Oh and I wore Fanfare HERE previously. Fanfare found a fan in me and fares brilliantly! :P Sorry for the PJ had the strongest urge to add it!:P
